The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, Professor Aderonke M. Baiyeroju has said that the International School, Ibadan (ISI) has made the University of Ibadan very proud.
She spoke while receiving, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, students of ISI who scored over 300 marks in the recently concluded nationwide Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
Professor Baiyeroju, who is the Chairman of the Governing Board of the school, said the results were highly encouraging. She said the students had made the ISI as well as the University of Ibadan very proud.
She appreciated the combined efforts of the staff as led by the Principal.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor encouraged the students to excel in their post UTME so as to crown their present efforts with more success and to be admitted into their various desired courses.
When they become important members of society, Professor Baiyeroju charged the students to remember to give back to ISI, their Alma Mater. She commended the ongoing contributions of the Alumni Association to the development of the school.
Earlier, the Principal of the school, Mr Yinka Akintunde, had told the DVC that he brought the students in order to celebrate their achievements so as to encourage the juniors.
He said the School was doing very well and prayed that God would enable them to continue to excel.
Mr Akintunde said quite a lot of the students who sat for the UTME scored between 250 and 300 while the under-listed students scored above 300 marks.
